60s Kenmore Classic FLAIR type cabinet range

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

My Aunt Julie got that Roper made Kenmore when they built their house in '65. However, theirs didn't have the lower oven, just a storage cabinet. She never did like it very well, but kept it until the house was destroyed by fire in March '88.

You do not want this. Note that the lower oven is blocked when the cooktop is extended. The ovens do not use top heat during baking, a condition common to Roper electric ovens. There are also problems with the gasket degrading between the two French doors on the upper oven and the doors sagging with use thus not closing properly because the mounts are cheap. These were never built as heavily or as well as the other brands of similarly-styled ranges. This is the sort of range that rattled when everything else in the house was still, either responding to the music of the spheres or just incredibly cheap construction.
