Hi Ron, did you get my PM yesterday?

Here are a few pics from my 1960 manual. I guess the 1966 cooktop probably has the aluminum plate shown in my 1966 Canadian parts book (last picture) but I don't have more information than what I've told you yesterday on these...

It looks like there's no pilot light on these...

this small Frigidaire cooktop

would be perfect in use with a 2 burner gas cooktop we're planning for the kitchen of our upcoming new house... if anybody knows of, or sees, one in nice shape please let me know!!

manual

phil R , Do you have parts manuals for frigidaire stoves. I am in need of part crossovers for the surface switches on a 1959 RM-75 stove I am restoring.

That's a pretty RM-75. I have an RM-10. Unfortunately, I can't post a picture right now, but check the archives. There is a lot of great info on these ranges from a lot of great discussions in the past.

switches

thanks PhilR for the switch part #'s. I have not been able to source those in my searches over the past couple weeks. I assume a crossover for those was not made by frigidaire.

Fridgidaire switch

rhschnauss, if you have any luck locating the switch for your RM75, could you please let me know where you found it. I too, am in need of a switch #5422663 for an RM45 which I am rebuilding. About 20 years ago I was able to order a replacement switch for one of the burners on this same unit through my local appliance dealer (newer switch pictured on right below, even had the same number printed on it. Nice too, because it was smaller than the original, although I had to splice spade connectors onto the wiring in order to use it.) But today, that same dealer was unable to locate or cross-reference that number. Good luck in our quests! I, too, will let you know if I learn anything. (By the way, I found this thread by googling the part number.)

switch

I am surprised to see the switch having overheated and melted in that fashion. What happened. Mine just goes to high and low but nothing in between. The switch you show with the spade connectors does work it seems. I wonder if robert shaw makes a replacement for the one with the spade connectors. They do have a large selection of generic switches. I thought maybe a GE crossreference would work but have come up emptyhanded.

I have considered a rewire for infinite switches and monotubes. Has Anyone done this conversion before?

switch

On the newer switch (the one with the spade connects) pictured in my last post, there is a second number below the part number. I had hoped it might be a crossover number, but my searches have turned up nothing. That number is ASR 6167-51.
