My new Bosch Ascenta SHE3AR75UC arrived and I need to know how to open the door. I know it sounds stupid, but I don't want to break it. I pulled on it and it felt like it was going to break. I called customer service and they said make a fist in the handle and pull. They said there's no packing material keeping it shut.

Some Bosch machines do have a stiff latching mechanism. Nevertheless, grasp the handle firmly and PULL smartly.

And perhaps the newness of the rubber door seal (i.e. stickiness) is helping to hold it closed.

Here is a thought...read the manual...if the manual is still inside said machine, then read the manual online...the info you seek will be there....
Pull it David.... just PULL IT!!!!
After looking at your model, you need to get your fingers into that hole area and get a good grip and pull it open. You won’t break a nail......
