The company I purchased this set from gave me 600.00 for a new washer. Price wise , Top load Whirlpool HE with the big disk in the bottom OR Frigidare front load.., HELP Not sure which one . Mike

Go with the front-loader. Be sure to get a model with a water heater, as the hot water setting produces warm water. Use allergy option to get 130 degree water, or the sanitize cycle to get 152 degree water. I have a Frigidaire 4474 and like it.

My take I had the same thing GE washer made by Samsung. It died 1 and a half year after I got it. In it;s short time it was fixed once. Then it went out aging.

I now will not pay more then I have to for any washer after this it turned me off total to all washers. I spent close to 800.00 for this ge samsung washer and got less then 2 years out of it. Parts to fix it came to over 2000.00 so it is in the junk yard right now.

I got a danby twin tub on back order so now using a haier portable and works fine.,

My tip before you buy look at the parts list online get a ideal on part prices and hope for the best.

Me I could care less but will not spend more then 300.00 for any washer after my problems with this one.

Hi Mike..

If those are your only options, I would rather go with the Front loader, mostly because washplate style machines (Big disk) don't work all that well.

A front loader is easier on your clothing and will get them cleaner too.

Yes......I would agree.......Out of those 2 choices- DEFINITELY the Frigidaire FL washer.

How SAD that it went out after only 8 months. Hopefully you just got a LEMON & that's not the case with most of them.

I keep waiting for my Duet to go out since it's almost 7 yrs old- but it still keeps pumping out clean clothes.
