Hi Lee.

I've heard that you were well and truly introduced last weekend, into the wonderful world of vintage Hooverism, via some absolute classics - 3243H and A3060 and then adopting an A3110!

Great stuff and glad that you had a fun day.
Paul

Will post some more photos later. In the meantime, below is a lovely catalogue image of the 2nd version 3243H, courtesy of the 1974 copy of Burlington....

Good

Paul as we all know collecting old wahsers etc the condition is a variable, but i would say you have come up trumps on this one, certainly with your skills blemishes will disappear, and only £2.77 a week can i order one now ;-)

I also like the prayer mat infront of the machine it seems so fitting

Keep up the good work

My Aunty had the A3110 and I remember a friend of mine in York having the Electra version. I always thought it was such a smart design with the orange graphics and the half load button - would love to get hold of one though my first automatic I bought second hand was the A3060

Well done Paul on the keymatic. Look forward to following progress

Hi Gary.

Now we have a 2nd version 3243H in the ranks, I would be quite prepared to pay what Burlington's are asking for one of these instead, PLUS I'd gt a free iron ....

Hi stephen.

Glad you like and thanks for posting your reminiscences. Obviously there are A3110's in safe hands, as well as A3060's.
There is also an Electra A3E12 (the leccy board A3110) in the safe hands of Mike King and I recently helped the Joe and Jemima Public owners of an Electra A3E10 keep it going for a few more years - blocked pressure vessel.

They are all still out there!

Back to 3243H

So I set to work on the door with a superb concoction called 'Peek', recommended to me by Seamus and Matt. Superb stuff....

....and got rid of those pits.
Also took a risk and polished up the fascia, carefully ensuring left to right and right to left movements to follow the grain of the finish. No Up and Down!
