A Bed Time Story

Kaydee and Maidee were talking the other day. She was feeling lonely for one of her relatives.She really didn't know her background as well as Kaydee. So I overheard the conversation and went to my friends at automaticwasher.org.
Then this Handsome Prince named gregm,appeared out of no where and said "I have a 1957 Mobile Maid." I mentioned it to Maidee and she was thrilled. After all, Kaydee has her Aunt Sally Superba. (KDS-18).
So away I drove this morning to Worcester and picked up Gloria.

So.....

I came home with Gloria and introduced her to Maidee. It turns out that Maidee is from New Jersey and Gloria was some how connected with her ( I as a child had a neighbor named Gloria Stoesser and she had the exact same machine. She had 5 children, themselves and a Uncle living all under the same roof, That same machine ran 3-4 times a day.)

Well,

She was so thrilled they finally opened up to each other. (Just hum the song "Getting to know you".)

After being seperated for all these years and not knowing on

Gloria said "My Maidee, what a big wash arm and tower you have... and is that a Power shower too ?" Maidee said "Why yes, that's how I came."

Maidee said .....

"Aunt Gloria, why do you have such a small impeller ?" Gloria said..."Well my dear back in my day this is all we had and we had to work extra hard "

So they started talking more about style

As girls do... Maidee said "Wow is that Genuine Wood Grain Formica, the first ever ?" And Gloria said" Yes it is I was the first on my block to have it.

So then Gloria...

Just wanted to know the new styles for the 70's. And then asked Maidee "Is that what they're wearing these days ? White Speckled Formica ?"

So anyway

Gloria had a water test today and cried as she hasn't been used for a while. Maidee is happy as a clam at High Tide because she finally made a connection. And another great thing that happened today is... The Handsome Prince gregm, had a spare drying unit for Kaydee.
