I cant believe just how many people have no clue what a deep well is!! Of course I heard someone talking about a new Chrysler town and country the other day, they were talking about how handy it was to have the gearshift on the dash .they were astounded when I told them it was borrowed from Chryslers 1955 line!! I guess im getting old.

I don't think it would be THAT much to ship. Certainly far less than a full stove.

I saw this and was suspicious of it. That "rice cooker" doesn't look like original equipment.

Actually it is original to the cooktop. Thermador called it the "Duo-cook". The pot is removable just like many other deep-well pots and the burner underneath lifts up for more burners. Sadly, it's only a 6" burner.
This is the cooktop I grew-up learning to cook on, except Mom's didn't have the Duo-cook. Ours had another 8" burner instead.
