Not sure about Oxiclean, I use Oxyboost which was rated the best oxygen bleach formula for the dollar during a test back in 2004. I have better results with oxyboost than chlorine bleach. It's nice to have my socks and underwear cleaner and brighter without being destroyed and having that dried, stiff feeling. Oxygen bleaches don't work as well in cold water, so don't expect any miracles when doing cold water washes. Also, Oxygen bleaches require time to get the job done. For whites, I let the Maytag agitate with 140F water up until it momentarily stops to reverse for spin, and then soak the load for 8 hours.
