I had forgotten from growing up just active the "activator" was/is. When I jumped to Jetcones I never looked back until now. Its nice to rediscover a childhood treasure in these machines.
John, it almost purrs, you're gonna have fun with this one. Just have to work out one dead spot in the timer and squealing clutch shoes and she's done!!
I see what you mean, the tub top needs a direct mount gasket yes.
I don't know about later machines but on these the trick is that the top slides onto the machine from the front so it has to all snug up when you bolt it at the back. Someone had glued foam to the top and all that did was push the foam away from the tub when you slid the top on. See how the gasket just wipes the undersurface once the top is all in place.
