After looking at Jon's restoration on the late 60's GE's, I realize it would have been a hard decision to choose a top of the line pair from the late sixties. You had the following

A Lady Kenmore Piano Key machine
Frigidair Custom Imperial
Maytag Center dial (full featured)or pushbutton
Westinghouse front loaders
Whirlpool Mark Series

I am not sure I could have easily made a decision. I assume that they were fairly close in price.

The centre dial

Maytags! Not the all pushbutton ones, but the ones just below them.

And in Pasteltone Pink, while we're at it.

Lawrence/Maytagbear

Frigidaires- not many in my area

Maytags. Wonderful tanks *YAWN* no drama. No gimmicks no piz(z)az.

But the SEARS Lady Kenmore piano-key, oh my..............

Toggle

Maytags are full of drama! I absolutely love watching my helical tag.

And no Frigidaires in your area?? If I recall, the '55 Frigidaire set i just bought was from New York... LOL

Frigidaire Custom Imeprial (WCI65)
Lady Kenmore Piano Keyboard (tickle those ivories he he he)
Maytag 806
Since I've had enough Wessty slant-fronts in my childhoood, I vote for a Bendix Duomatic
A Whirlpool Mark just don't have the pizzaz of a LK, so I want a GE Versatronic

And all of these have to be in matched sets!!! (well not the Bendix)

Easy for Me!

A pair of Lady K piano-key machines from '65-'66, and a pair of Maytag 906's.

All in turquoise, of course.

The versatile Lady Ks would be the daily drivers, and the precisely programmed 'Tags would be for those extra-harried days when I didn't want to figure out which of the Lady K's gazillion cycle options was perfect for each load.

Now, was that so hard? ;-)
