OK, our friends in Ontario may not think this is a big deal since they have this available to them. However, having grown up near Buffalo NY and having been to Swiss Chalet a few times a year for special dinners (it was always my choice for my birthday dinner if we were going out), I grew up with this sauce. The chicken the restaurant made was good, as were the fries and roll. But, the sauce.... YUM!!! You dipped everything but the salad and your beverage in it! It's a light cornstarch-style sauce that's a little heavy on the Bell's Seasoning, but it's also a little peppery, a tiny bit sweet... so-o-o-o-o go-o-o-o-d!!!
Through a series of coincidences, I discovered that it was offered in packets thanks to McCormick Canada, Ltd. The company didn't find it in their computer as something available for mail order, but I did find it online and bought some from a seller on eBay. We just had some tonight with oven-roasted chicken thighs and fries! You can bet that the next time we get to Ontario (haven't been there in probably 10 years) we'll be stopping at the restaurant, then buying some more packets in the supermarket!
You HAVE to try it!!!
