If I am washing a delicate item in a Maytag, especially at a low water level, I generally put one of the short fin agitators in to further gentle the agitation.

I think the LoadSensor helps with larger loads that would slow down a powerfin.....nice design as it only kicks in when needed....
lint filter.....with proper sorting, and laundering methods....you wont even mis it, or notice lint on the clothes.......
as for fabric softner dispensers, there is the Downy ball, but then again, your one of the lucky few who have a machine in your kitchen......its easy to monitor if you wanted to add softner manually
great machine otherwise......basic yet fully functional...it fits the bill for FabricMatic

Well, yesterday on the final spin, the A107 started to flood water, clear with rust colored slicks. Before I pull it out, I'm opening it up to check. First time ever I've removed the front panel.
No leaks here. Other than some dust, it's pristine. There must be a clog in the drainage pipe.
How about some Poly Pump action?
My ever faithful Maytag has found a new home.
Even after all these years, a quick wipe and it's still as pristine as it was 6 years ago...
