resulted in 3 machines that I had to figure out where to put due to my lack of room because of my too many washers and dryers problem. 15 hours and 730 miles led to a new home for an early 60’s turquoise Maytag dryer in very nice condition. And also I brought home an almond ‘83 lady kenmore convertible and a white ‘84 whirlpool 18 pound washer.

WOWZERS...

all 3 machines are very cool.
Is the Whirlpool belt drive?
The portable Kenmore is neat.
And the Maytag is gorgeous and looks to be in great condition.

I have the same exact Kenmore convertible portable washer from 1984. Oddly enough the dryer that is paired up with my Kenmore portable washer is from 1978

Thanks everyone! Christina the whirlpool washer is indeed a belt drive with a manual lint filter. I’d like to tinker with them or at least clean them up but work is incredibly busy right now and I’ve been working a lot of hours lately.

Whirlpool washer:
Model LA5580XMW1
Serial C40533532

Lady Kenmore convertible:
Model 110.84390800
Serial J34883735

Maytag dryer in turquoise:
Model TDE701
Serial 652982 CW

Glenn I know the feeling. I’ve got a truck that has been outside for two years now because of my washer and dryer hoard. Plans are in the works to make several trips to the scrap yard.

Maytag dryer serial suffix CW

Nice looking Maytag dryer!

Looks like it was manufactured in 1961 - September based on the "CW" year/month suffix.

I posted a link to an old thread with the Maytag date codes listed for reference.

Wow! You have a magnetism that just draws them toward you. All these are great. Especially loving the portables. I remember seeing those at the Sears store in the early 80s.
