A new hose for my Electrolux 2100

I got an Electrolux 2100 recently and it had the original hose. The suction seemed OK but not as good as my Electrolux LX. I saw a TV show about a vacuum collector who recommended a new hose to an owner of the similar vintage machine. The original hose is the typical woven hose. You can see the frayed portions.

Here is the cleaner with the new hose. The suction is about twice as strong. It is not an original Electrolux hose, I got it from evacuumstore. Now it is stronger than the LX. I saw somewhere that this machine is one of the strongest Electroluxes.
