AAAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!

My dream fan! I love these Emersons! Perhaps the BEST fan EVER made. Arguably. But I think so. Its so reliable. Very quiet, and oh my lord does it move some air!

I LOVE the ivory color! I have only seen mostly black, and Brown.

I found a 16" model in brown at a local antique store. $75, more than I want to pay, and it had paint splatter on it. But oh my. Such beauty, and it worked very well!

Right now I am looking at getting an emerson 6 wing brass blade. Cant recall the model off my head. its a 16" model. Perhaps mid 20s.

The blade is key

Its the blade that is key to its silent operation. The pitch, and the overlap is what makes it so quiet, hardly a woosh audible, but physical oh my!

I would not restore it. IF thats its original paint, its in incredible shape. It would be worth more I think unrestored, with its original patina.

usually I liked restored and shiny, but if its original and in beautiful condition, I usually dont want to touch it. :)

Just my 2 cents.

Emerson

I have that very fan in black. LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I also have two Emerson window fans that will make the house a wind tunnel. You guys are gonna make an old man go digital. Or have a party. Or both.

Love the Vintage Fans!

Love that Emerson Electric Vintage Fan! We have three Emerson Vintage fans. The first one is like the one Dan has pictured only ours is brown, grill and blades are exactly the same! The fan is on a stand and is very heavy (when quality mattered)! It oscillates as well. Our second one is a black 12" oscillator with smaller blades like Dan's. Our third fan is a silver Emerson Electric 16" with narrow blades. All of them move a lot of air and our brown 16" oscillating stand fan and the black 12" oscillator are whisper quiet, even at high speeds! I agree, these fans were built to last and last! We also have a Westinghouse 16" oscillator with the micarta blades. It too, is whisper quiet even though the blades are plastic. These fans will outlast all the cheap stuff out there now! - Mike L.

I love Vornado fans, even the ones I bought since 1992 and the older Westinghouse Mobilaire fans with the deeply pitched blades and the deep bodies with 3 or more side louvers. They really move air. I use the newer Vornado fans to circulate air from the window units throughout the house. In all but the hottest weather two 9,000 BTU units keep the house in the mid 70s and the kitchen and bedroom even cooler.
