A Nice Hot Towel Wash in the '61 GE

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

The earlier perforated tub GE fill flume is aimed towards the agitator instead of the later version from the 70s-90s that is aimed towards the side of the tub...

Robert,

You seriously have to make a video of this machine! I just love it.

So is the water level on the highest setting during this wash? Curious if it fills up to the filter pan or just to the curve of the washtub.

Anyways, it's an awesome machine and so glad you found it!

2 o'clock position

Well possums, it all has to do with the mini wash and washing my delicates. You know, spraying from the 12 o'clock position just couldn't reach all the nooks and crannies of my unmentionables so GE took my advice and moved it to the 2 o'clock position. They're still paying me royalties for my old fashioned idea!

Why GE moved the Filter-Flo flume to the 2:00 position start

Oh, oh! oh! I know! I know!, wait a minute(I'm on schpilkes!)

Because (thanks to the WA655V you sent me), the filter flo supply hose on the newer V-12 models comes through the outer tub at the 2:00 position anyway, so the engineers must have said, why waste all that extra rubber making it come out at 12:00 just to make it look like the older machines?

That machine is like butter!

If you wanted to make a video of this machine in action with you spinning the Rotary Fabric Dial, no one would complain.

Filter-Flo

Great find Robert!! And it could not have found a better home.
