Ok, well I'm going got let this little gafoo in the universe slip by this time...I just sent a note off to GE directly and asked them why they did what they did. Let us see it there is anyone old enough left at GE to answer the question.

Hopefully, when I wake up in the morning, the universe will have righted itself again and Robert will be back on top.

I'm going to add my ignorant two cents worth and venture that maybe it has something to do with water flow or back up when the machine goes into spin? That with the 12:00 position maybe water isn't flushed out of there enough or maybe backs up? At the 2:00 position, maybe the tubing is at a better angle.

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it! (at least until GE gets back to me, if they do, and gives me the correct answer)

What a nice machine Robert, it looks like that ramp agitator really rolls things over in that tub. Love those filter flows!

I love the backpanel lights warmly illuminating the top of the machine. Soooo welcoming!!

Oh I know why

they moved the fill flume in the later filter flos! The advent of soft water and the CCW spin in the 60's! Correct splashing was the key possums!
