ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!

Hi there,
I haven't looked in 'SUPER' for a while and the first thing I see is your GORGEOUS oven and stove top..real beautiful treasure given their date and condition. Many congratulations on 'tripping' over them and your impressive installation.
I would love to know the dimensions of these appliances and if it's no trouble, a couple of close-ups of the controls and general graphics and badges.

Tile or Background Splash?

What a great installation of two stunning appliances, you have created perhaps a cooking altar! I am thinking IMHO that a combination of stainless steel/ and green glass tiles would just set that miracle of a find off perfectly, humm, what pattern? And what to do with the troublesome vent pipe off center? Cover it with sheet rock and make it look like a v shaped column to support what's above and repeat it on the other side, and then cover with stainless steel, and glass tile all around, IMHO. The only thing better than perfection is possibility! Good luck and thanks for the inspiration! Phil

We will post some pics of the control knobs and badges. It may be in a couple of days. We are working "full tilt" to have the kitchen ready and presentable for company on Thanksgiving. It will not be finished as we still have some trim work and painting to do.

Phil, I love your ideas. They sound very sleek and the glass tile sounds spectacular BUT we have allready finished all of that work and since the kitchen is very small and we have so much crap we needed cabinet space over the oven.

We should have some pics up an a couple of days!

I realize I'm getting in on this at the tale end but that has to be the sexiest cooking set I've ever seen. Those horizontal lines and concealed burners are gorgeous. Nice job guys! -Cory
