Not the best decision to have made under the circumstances matey I agree i am paying the price today coz i feel worse than ever.
But i was off work, sod all to do as such and in my lemsipped overdosed brain it seemed a good idea.
So thanks AL that is good of you but all will be well I hope ;)

Ron

ROB
I Know Beckenham well thank christ i didnt have to go there through rush hour......effin pits of journey as it was. you can stop as many times as you like on motorway services but yah never feel rested, just ripped off LOL........

Anyways the machine is still in the back of the car so if i feel good tomorrow i will take it to the garage and do some more fots.

Speak later coff cofF coFF cOFF COOFFF WHEEEZE.......argh another lemsip me thinks ;-)

Nice!

I like the look of this one! Congrats and hopefully you lot will be saying the same to me sometime hopefully. There is a Hotpoint 9404 Twinny I could get my hands on with much persuation but I think it's not that vintage of a machine to collect yet. Suggestions?

Hope it works for you, James.

Wow

Gary,

You lucky sod, it looks in great condition. You certainly love your Hoover washers, lol.

Hope the cold gets better, or is it Man Flu. Try night nurse, you get a great nights sleep.

Get better soon

Paul

Hi Handsome, hope ur feeling better. So sorry I couldn't come with you on ur jolly to the big smoke. The keymatic looks amazing so worth the trip even if you do feel like death now. Was this the first Hoover automatic with the half load button?

Rich

GREEN half load button actually :-)

oh yes the purity and piety of Hoover to have fitted a "Save the Planet" button all those years ago makes one want to cry...........yerr meanwhile in the real world, I dont actually know Rich if this was the first Hoover with a half load option as the A3060 brother to this machine did not have one.

Anyway dragged me ded carcass around the garage and did a test wash, few jobs to do without fail:
Door boot leaking
Pump needs replacing
Suspension

apart from those important jobs it works a treat, the motor is very sweet sounding, the soap draw needs removing and cleaning out (not an easy job on these early models)

I have taken some more fots and done a very poor quality vid for now in which you can hear the pump knocking when it has no water flowing through it.

Right here we go:

Arse shot
as you can see it is very clean underneath just dust and cobwebbs.....no real rust issues.

Fots

View of the back as you can see it is a clean machine.
The drum bearings though they were very dry after some lubing up they appear to healthy and good

Video

Very poor qaulity sorry i will one day get round to doing proper vids of this machine and a few others

ther is a bit of wash action and a short spin, in that section you can hear the pump knocking until water getsinto it and quietens it down
