I figured that perhaps fiddling with a recent dishwasher find would take my mind off the run of bad luck with washers... And it did!
This is technically my first KitchenAid dishwasher - Eddie in Cape Cod found it for me and very kindly stored it for me until I could haul my sorry butt down to his place to pick it up. I got it May 1st, so I figured it was time to have a look at why this KDC5 detergent cup wouldn't spill. Took the back off and saw some rust (Evidence of water leak probably from a bad washer on the inlet hose). I tinkered with the spring and clip and... sucess!! I watched it run through a cycle and the cam tripped the cup release!!

Detailing time

I figured while I had the KA out and on the driveway, I'd clean it up a bit. The cabinet was already in great shape - I shined up the chrome and gave the cabinet a wipe down. Looking good!

I have the wiring diagram! GASP!!! I took a photo in case anyone else may need it. I can take other photos, too, if needed.

Ready for a test wash

I rolled it into the kitchen in Ogden - should get to a test wash next weekend! Stay tuned...

Paul, you'll love feeling those powerful jets of water hitting the top lid and sides of the machine while it's running (not to mention hearing all that too).
