watching old soap opera clips on youtube

one of the members of this forum had posted some 1950's soap opera clips on youtube which I watched out of boredom one day early this year. I dont remember how I made the connection from those clips to this site, but I'm glad I did. I'm not a collector but I have found the postings very informative and fun.

my clothes dryer

led me to this paradise. I had googled something about my dryer, trying to find some kind of info and one result was a linky to a post here. I then emailed Robert and asked some questions regarding my dryer, having only model number to go by. From then on it has been a fabulous love affair in my life! Every time I come here I think of the ways this incredible space in cyber world has connected so many lives. It's just astounding to me. It makes me a little weepy.

*Please excuse me, I have to go hug my dryer now*

I was drunk on liquor and high on E one dark and cold lonely

NOT!!

I think I first found this website back in 2004, right after the Maytag started giving me lid switch problems. All I typed into google was Maytag A606...and there it was!

I lurked for a good while before I grew *&^^S to join. I think it was the humour among the club that did it. Thought to self...damn, they are funny, so naturally, I felt at ease :-)

I have learned so much, more than I really care to know at times, and although my collection of washers and dryers has not grown, my coffee pot obsession has, amongst other wares.

This club rocks, and the few folks I have met from here, are super nice, and more fun than a barrel of monkeys. lol

I had done a Google search on a Westinghouse stove for OEM/equivalent replacement Corox burners. I'm STILL searching by the way, for large and small burners for this stove, model E-64-49.

Google brought me to an archived thread on this site, and I found my way to the current day version, and now I visit it fairly regularly.

This is a great site, and the fact that so many gay men are involved and accepted here keeps me coming back as much as the subject matter.

I'll never forget

I had known Chris P. for a couple years through music. I met his partner John E. in 2002 when we all helped a mutual friend move. John and I got to talking, and somehow I "outed myself" about my fascination with washers. He proceded to tell me about his collection and all about Robert and his collection. I was so happy to find out I wasn't the only one who loved appliances! Knowing that the website existed, I found it soon after (probably by Googling for it).

What a great thread question!
To answer it.....
I did a search for Combo Washer / Dryer, and guess what popped up?
This happend on a Saturday morning, and I was online till Monday morning, (taking naps and such) reading all of the back post's throughout Applianceville's history.
I felt so normal after this!
It is a great world!
