Stick to your GUNS!

Get the machine that is ultimately going to allow you to sleep at night. You have done your research and made your choice. Castleberry's should honor your purchase decision.

On a side note, I still see the FL washer with heater still available at an ebay retailer even though they have been discontinued. Wonder if purchasing one would result in the same bait and switch result.

I've used this one several times now, in fact, about to throw in yet another load right now.  It works fine with one exception.  As I stated above the dryer has 3 cycles - timed dry, auto dry for perma press, auto dry for regular fabrics - and there is NO end of cycle signal.  Even with the auto dry cycles, when the cycle is over the dryer just shuts off with no announcement.  If it had at least a fixed signal, like my Maytag had, I could live with it.  Castleberry's has no control over that - for that I blame some dumb a$$ at SQ.

Funny about end of cycle signals

My house Kenmore dryer has a non-adjustable signal and it is LOUD. My mother has basically the same dryer though hers is one model up with an adjustable signal, which she keeps on the 'off' position.

My second dryer in the garage has no signal buzzer and I've never missed it.

I was reading the reviews of the Admiral dryer again on Home Depot's website the other day....it is probably one of the best dryers for the money anywhere right now. BUT, one reviewer said the same as you Lawrence...missing the end of cycle signal.

I guess to each his own! I would prefer to have one that is adjustable, and keep it fairly mute, but audible.

It also depends on where the dryer is.   Ours is lower level and in, an addition to the back. My  signal is off  i cannot hear it in the house.  I always use the cycle with the "wrinkle guard" and go back after an hour. alr
