A TREASURE TROVE FIND IN PA!!!

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Amazing find, y'all.

I'd suggest not telling the guy that you were taking pictures of the back of his shop through the windows; he might be offended that you were "snooping" before you talked with him.

His stock of parts, at appropriate prices, is probably enough to keep him economically secure for the rest of his life. And at the same time he could advise folks here on repairs and restorations.

I wonder if he'd be interested being interviewed on video, with questions coming from folks on this board.

I'd certainly be willing to send some $ (to be pooled with other funds) to keep the proprietor on a retainer as a consultant.

and also to send some money so the club could buy the contents of his store, lock, stock and barrel.

HMMMM...

Well - I called the guy yesterday and he says he still sick and to call again next week. Next time I call I'll try and talk to him more on the phone - I don't know the deal - I hope he's not terminal! I'll certainly keep you all posted!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Matthew

oh, that's awful of you Toggle...

Well if he is.....

Send him a greeting card with your full legal name, address, phone# and Social Security #.

...and bring him a sandwich.

Who knows how acts of kindness can be re-payed...
(Tongue-in-cheek people, please don't tear me to shreds!.. )

So What's Up With This

We have all sat sitting here on tenter hooks for several weeks now, is he is or is he ain't willing to deal? Or do we have to come down there and muss the guy up? *LOL*

Am seeing how this will play out: Seller goes to meet his maker and his heirs start to sort things out. Thanks to all and sundry (those sneaky quite types that we never hear a peep out of, but yet they always seem to bid on/buy items listed on the group), who keep contacting them, soon they realise there is gold in grandpa's "junk". Some huge outfit like Sunderberg (sp?) moves in for the lot, with a few collectors with deep pockets cleaning up the rest. *LOL*

Oh I See!

Coming for dinner eh? So you in on it as well, aren't you? *LOL*

Well since one knows where GE will be this weekend, have always wanted to see what PA looks like. Excuse me while I get out my wool two piece suitable for traveling. Will need an over night bag as well. Now where is my Amtrak schedule? *LOL*

Film just BEFORE 11...

GE came, ate, drank, chatted, left.

He is working on the old guy, but doesn't want to push too fast.

Will follow-up.

Amtrak...nuthin. if I go, the seat next to me (and the back seat of my car) comes along anyway. Hitch a ride me!

OH DEAR LORD RELAX!

Hello all - I apologize for the delay and to keep you all on pins and needles but I know the way the old senior citizens of NEPA can be and I'm not going to pester this guy. I'm out of PA for the time being - back in NYC doing some christmas decorating jobs -this way I'll actually have some $ to offer the guy. In the mean time, I'll do my best - I have you all in mind don't worry!

Patience is a Virtue!

Matthew
