No concept of reality

Well, it's a gospel mission that has the most expensive items of the three listings.

Apparently they skipped over the teachings against greed.

Those hypocrites will still have those appliances to take along with them when the rapture comes.   They probably won't need to bring the stove, though.

Ralph's funny.....and handsome....what a combination.....

it could be a typo!

I just got a GE FF set for 4000 pennies...lol

whoever does buy it should pay in pennies....that ought to weigh their collection plate down.....

Ha! My dad once owned a four plex that had two of these in the basement apts. When he replaced them he sold them both to needy people for 25 dollars. One heeven threw in a six pac.

It always does irk me that people think that just because something is old, it's worth a lot of money.

In all honesty, 50's vintage fridges look great but they are massive energy hogs in comparison to modern fridges. I wouldn't want one.

Not to mention that I don't think I could trust an appliance that old with our food.
That's a debate right in itself I think, only because a 50 year old fridge could go on running another 50 years without issues for all I know.

I know a guy who has a chest freezer built in 1932 and it still runs today with absolutely zero maintenance, short of needing the occasional deicing every so often.

I haven't had a chance to do tests myself, but I have heard of people with older vintage refrigerators who have tested power use. Apparently--or so they claim--the power use is surprisingly low. I have heard several times now that the real energy hogs weren't the ones made in the 50s--they were the frost free models made in the 60s and on.

Trusting an old refrigerator to keep working does seem like a bit of a gamble. Even if well made, stuff can wear out. But then it also seems like a gamble trusting a modern refrigerator. I've heard too many stories about people with modern refrigerators that have been nothing but trouble since the warranty ended. I've even heard stories about people who've had spectacular failures during warranty. It seems like no matter what choice one makes, one is probably gambling.
