In talking with Don (Jetaction) about the Westinghouse roaster he was selling on ebay, then talking about shipping.... he asked if I had checked my local Craigslist.   Until that point, I hadn't.

Long story short, I looked and found this one a 35 minute drive away.  It looked to be the "most complete" of many listed with the cabinet/stand, the optional broiler-grid and the glass window in the lid.   It looked to be in pretty good condition so I contacted the seller.   The seller had painted the stand and unfortunately it picked up a couple scratches during the trip home.   Oh well, I'll just have to paint it again.

So I'm guessing this is an early or mid-50's model?   I'm going to download the owners manual from Ephemera tonight!

Wow, Kevin, that Westinghouse roaster is in very nice shape.  The inset pan looks as if it has been very well-cared for or lightly used!   I've never seen the grill/griddle attachment up close before - is it thermostatically controlled?

IIRC, Westinghouse also offered a rotisserie dome for their roaster.  Never seen one of those up close either, but they look neat.

Enjoy your new toy!!

Thank you everyone for your comments and thank you Sam for the model info, that's great to know!

Yes it is in better condition than I was expecting, I'm pleased.   That Broiler - Grid thing looks never used!  Someone obviously plugged it in and melted the plastic info sheet a little before they realized it (darn it), making it difficult to read.

Paul & Greg, I'll take more detailed photos of the Broiler-Grid thing later.   No Paul, no thermostatic control for it, just plug it in and away it goes!

Wow! Looks to be in like new shape!

I am sure you have fun cooking in your new roaster. I have never used one but have heard nothing but praise from those who have.

Optional clock---

Now you need to find the clock that fits in the cabinet door where that filler plate is. They also had some Pyrex dishes made to fit inside, they have the Westinghouse "W" stamped in the bottom. I still see them in thrift stores sometimes. Your roaster looks to be in great condition. I have never seen that broiler/grill before, it must be rare. We have 2 roasters that will be in use at the August wash-in.

I own two of them

only one has the cabinet. It has the clock too but clock not working.
what good are they? arent they energy hogs?
I scared to use cause I read they waste so much energy.
plus only the two of us. so I will try to sell ...
we cook on the patio covered deck porch most everyday or out in the garage
"
we steam green beans most every night and bake squash in real oven out in garage.
Now . getting quite a few green beans now. not as many as last yr. cause all the excessive rain,,,,, countless bugs. plus I should have did a soil test.
In the meantime I Bought a whole 1/2 bushel of gb and small red potatoes ,two weeks ago from Amish....like for ten dollars.
buy diretly from their farm. If buy from the Amish or Menonites that come to Farmer Mkt... the price triples.....
finally got out my compost teas homemade brewer.mixed up two batches so far.
When I planted my gb seeds pole beans. I first put down opened, flattened banana boxes.I make a "hole" remove dirt from the holes" of the bannaa box. like where the handles are. already
I should have put the whole area with Organic. Plant Tone. instead of just the small hole. filled in with bought (nursery scooped) compost then an upside down 9 0z. paper cup over it... with bottom cut out then two bamboo skewers to keep the cup in place and mark my beans. Unfortu. had to replant like 3 times even my KY wonder pole beans.
the squash bugs and stink bugs are destroying my squash plants, found an ADULT SVB borer today cause I wont se SEvin but use BT or dietmeous earth but a lil too late..
just a saying
Hope yall are doing better
