Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

I'm from Canberra in the Australian Capital Territory, or A.C.T.

We're a rather young city having been named in 1913, but there was nothing here until about 1928 when they finally opened a temporary Parliament House. So temporary it lasted until 1988 - well past it's sell by date. It's now used as a museum, function centre and arts venue.

Born and bred, though have been fortunate enough to live in Sydney, Melbourne and London. It's not common to find Canberrans (Canberra born) in the 40's who still live here as it's a quite transient population. It's even rarer to find a Canberran over 70 and I'm fortunate to know several in their 80's.

Yet another Aussie

Born and raised in the Whitsunday Islands region in Queensland - then tried to escape the heat and the big hole in the ozone layer and spent the last 17 years living in Brisbane - and now - Columbus Ohio!

If you ever get bored and wonder why - google image 'whitsunday islands' and you'll see why a ginger doesn't do well in the tropics! LOL

A good old midwest boy here

Born and raised in the Detroit area. A short stent as a farm boy on the west side of Illinois (mom's second marriage) then back to Michigan. Then as an adult, Chicago for 9 years, Brooklyn, NY for 2, and now a Jersey resident for the last 15 years.

North Carolina

Since Sept 3 1965! First 40 or so in Lenoir, which was known.."Before China took over"..as The Furniture Manufacturing Center of the South...My maternal ancestors , "Powell's "moved there in 1774 on a land grant from England..

I grew up in Baltimore County ( Rosedale Hon!), Maryland then moved to Ft.Lauderdale,Fl. Went to Altimonte Springs,Fl.,then moved to Houston, Tx. Hated it. Left to fly away winding up here in Paradise , Hilo , Hawaii. Not planning on leaving here too soon.Perfect climate, great natives, lots of free things to do,places to go and food to eat. I rarely stay home all day. I usually leave here before noon,go biking in to town, shop, exercise, socialize and just lay out on the black sand beach watching the people go by.........but,believe me, it ain't cheap!! But,worth every price.

Ah! Italian dialects.....

I'm an NYC-er who spent ages 5-25 1/2 way between Boston and Plymouth. In or around NYC since the late '80's

I have an ex whose family came from the mountains of Abruzzo. They speak a dialect incomprehensible even to some in Abruzzo. Seriously, it's totally different from regular "Italian". I learned quite a bit of it while in that relationship and I'm probably the only person speaking it with an American accent, lol.

Im originally from Sheffield, UK but now nicely grounded in Perth, Western Australia, probably the 1 of 2 members on here from Perth lol I love my pint size city, everything I need in a 20km radius lol
