Maytag claims that it devellopped the world's first dishwasher with three full racks. Not!!! The picture of day of the German website shows a picture of a Miele dishwasher with three full racks. And it from the seventies!!
Oh you know how Maytag is Louis. They also acted like they invented the Front Loader when they introduced the Neptune, no one left at Maytag has probably ever heard the name Bendix.
Every field of technology suffers from the "we forgot our history" problem. On the other hand, Maytag has been having so many troubles lately, they deserve to have something to be proud of, even despite the fact that someone else got there earlier. I hope their new design works well for them. They need something to get them back on track & looking up again.
the third (middle) rack of the Miele dishwasher is connected with the bottom rack, and it could not be moved without moving the bottom rack.
It was a special rack produced for the use in cafes and bistros we a lot of cups and saucers need to be given a wash.
So if we are talking about three fully independent racks it's still Maytag (well Candy did it already in Italy in the 70s already...see link)
;-)
Take care

Luigi, me thinks it looks like afternoon tea had quite a large number of ladies that day. Mielekai, that picture is one I remember being shown before. Very interesting and fascinating loading. Bob
