There are still "treasures" to be found......
This yard is in the process of being cleaned up. But we saved a few gems from there.
You are right on Kenny! Thats where the "Mighty Monkey Norge" came from! That was a fun yard to explore.Have you heard anything about Roy these days?
We should try that place again this fall, if possible. The bugs would carry us away in there right now.....

Jubk yards!!!
And yellow jackets go hand in hand,wait till you move a stove or washer and hear a roaring noise...then see a cloud of European Hornets,...talk about setting a land speed record!!!

Guess it would be a good idea to take along a can of wasp & hornet spray. Went to the "toilet graveyard" (used plumbing suppy place) in Dayton one Summer, and there were plenty of insect pests flying around. Imagine it would be worse with appliances with all the hiding places for nests.
Rick, I went by there about a week ago. The house had boards on the windows, there was a loader there, and "no trespassing" sign's everywhere. No one around, though.

Where's junk yard?
Where is that junk yard, I see you're from South Bend, is that Indiana? If so, is the junk yard the Junk Shop at the Pines? I haven't been thee in years, it's large.

There was all kind of stuff there in that junk yard..
Really old cars, farm equiptment, appliances, console tv's, lawn mowers, and even a pump organ.
I tripped over a barbed wire fence that had fallen down and was hidden in the weeds. Ended up tangled up in the barbed wire, and Kenny had to help me get untangled. (lucky I had long pants on for that trip)

This yard is south of Goshen, west of Ligoneer.
The Pines? I've stopped by one place there a few months ago, run by a grumpy old man. This was during the week and he said he's only open on weekends. Wasn't interested in letting me roam that day. Looks like there might be some finds in there, though.
