Cannot find the thread, but while back someone asked about results of using this product. He was keen on knowing about claims of odor removal.

Have been using Persil "ProClean 2in1 with Odor Fighter" for few weeks now mostly on dress shirts in warm or cool water. Have to say claims about odor fighting are pretty much on target.

Nothing was really whiffy, but just average in terms of body odors, however heavy on cologne. The Persil left things smelling fresh and dealt with both quite well.

Scent of product is strong both during washing (wafts out of washer scenting laundry area...), and on wet items after coming out of machine. However after ironing and airing, or just line drying most if not all Persil scent is gone. If one gets up close for a sniff, traces can be detected, but otherwise not so much.

This in contrast to original Persil liquid (10 dimensions of clean) that left a powerful whiff on things even after drying. It clashed with Ma Griffe, so it had to go... *LOL*

Cleaning wise this new Persil liquid works a treat; collars, cuffs, the lot come out clean and stain free.

Odor Fighter

I actually used a bottle of the stuff about 6 months ago. I didn't really find that it made that much of a difference for us. The Persil, if I remember correctly, does not have an actual ingredient designed to remove odors, unlike Tide Original liquids. The Tide HE Turbo original, Clean Breeze, and Mountain Spring plain versions contain Methyl Di-T-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate and Diethylenetriamine which is actually designed to remove odors. I personally don't many clothes that smell horrible, but have found that it does do quite a good job on removing campfire smells. I am shocked that these two ingredients are not included on the Ultra Stain Release variant.

I had a bottle

It was effective at eliminating odors but I didn’t like the scent. It’s very different from the Original scent. And it oversudsed badly. So I gave it to someone at work. From the ingredient list it seems to have more alcohol than the other Persil formulas.

German Persil megapearls eliminate odors just as well or better, and without the oversudsing, and with much easier rinsing, and with that fantastic original signature scent.
