About time...Speed Queen on sale in Australia...under their own brand

While looking through our new 2010 Yellow Pages, i found the following website showing Speed Queen laundry appliances on sale in Australia under their own brand name!

For our US friends, Speed Queen has mainly been sold as a "Kleenmaid" branded product here and WAY overpriced! (the Kleenmaid company has gone into bankruptcy owing millions of dollars)

So, obviously Speed Queen are finally free to import and sell their machines under their own brand. I have no idea what price they are, but will probably find out tomorrow or on Monday.

I'd love to know more about the front-load washer they are selling here....

91 litres for an 8kg load is 3.5* which is pretty heavy water consumption and 560kwh is 2* energy....

Still, quick cycle times and that water usage should still give reasonable washing and brilliant rinsing

Wow, they're selling the AWN in Australia with a warm water rinse. Life isn't fair.
