Hi all
Does anyone remember a wonderful play called 'Absurd Person Singular' by Alan Ayckbourn?
It's set in 3 different kitchens over 3 Christmases with 3 very different couples. The picture attached will be the first couple and the wife cannot stop cleaning, there is a discussion over her washing machine. In the second act the kitchen is a complete mess with the wife trying to commit suicide. In the final act the kitchen is very old fashioned and the couple are out of touch (from what I remember).
It was shown in 1985 on TV and Maureen Lipman was the house proud wife, she had a round door Hoover. The chaotic kitchen had a square door Creda and of course the final kitchen had no machine at all.
I would love to see this again. Do any of you remember it?
Rob
