Hi all

Finally back at my desk after the journey home, just lots more waiting in planes on the tarmac ready for take off, and experiencing the bad weather in the car at Minneapolis was slightly worse than the bumpy ride out of Chicago..

Am just ploughing through the pics ready for loading, and loving the ones already showing...

Just wanted to say what a pleasure it was catching up with friends from the club and my first convention in 2001 and a delight in meeting new friends and making a whole lot more from Convention 2005.

Cheers from across the pond, Mike

Hello Mike,

It was nice meeting you again. I'm looking forward to your pictures.

I must admit I quite enjoyed the storm we had on our way back to Minneapolis. Robert explained us some things about tornado's and we even heard the tornado alarm. Quite interesting since we don't get them here.

Greetz from across the Channel,

Louis

What a pleasure

Glad you are at home safe & sound. Wonderful meeting you and getting to enjoy your collection via photo-album.

Thanks to you and everyone for the warm wlcome and this new "family" I have found!

I hope you will come visit the next time you cross the pond.

Back In The UK

Hi Mike. Glad you got home ok. Was great to meet you. Thank you for sharing pictures, especially the Hoover Keymatic.
Let's keep in touch.

Hi Mike, glad you are home safe and sound!

Those thunder storms you saw were pretty harmless and quite common here. Yes one of the most fun things about living in the Northern Plains is the variety of weather we get. If you don't like the weather now, wait an hour and its going to be different. I just love our severe thunderstorms like a few of you guys experienced on the way back to Minnie. Although I've seen much more severe storms than what we saw on Monday, we get storms like that quite a few times during the course of the summer. Driving in the country like that you could see the spinning rotation of the clouds as baby tornado were starting to form, but it was not strong enough to actually produce an actual tornado that touches down to the ground, that would have been really cool! I've only seen that twice in my life. Glad you guys from the coasts or Europe, who rarely see storms like that, got to see a few, we all had such a great time on the drive home.

Jetcone got to see a the best storm of the summer so far before you guys arrived for the convention as he came out a few days earlier. It was sunny, we went into the supermarket, one half hour later the sky was so dark all the city lights came on, the next thing you know the winds were gusting to over 50mph and the tress were bending over. The rain was so hard that the city streets looked like rivers. In another half hour it was all over and the sun was peeking through again.

Hi Mike, glad everything went well going "back across the pond"!

It was great meeting you at the Convention this year!! Convention 2005 was the best!

Mike,
Let me add my two cents worth also. It was great meeting you and seeing the photos of your collection. Glad you got home safely. Look forward to the next convention when we all can get together again.
Roger

Mike,

Where are you?

I'm offically worried aobut you. We have heard very little since the convention, and I think not a word since recent events in London.

Please write and say "HI" - your fan base demands it.

Be well
-Steve
