I Especially Liked This...

...from the description of the Scandia White collection:

"While incredibly light and sophisticated, this high quality, culinary grade porcelain of Scandia White bakeware is exceptionally durable and is a perfect conductor maintaining heat extremely even."

Either I need to volunteer a lot more time to Literacy Action, or I just need to give up altogether...

Which is why,

every time I am at a garage sale, or place like Goodwill or Salvation Army, and there is genuine CorningWare, and it is a piece I want or can use, I buy it.

So angry about this "new" Corning.

Also, about a month ago, my supermarket was selling what was billed as Corelle, but it was just ugly stoneware.

Corningware/Pyrex~

You will never see any new Corningware or Pyrex in my house. Only vintage will do.

I will however say I am in love with Le Creuset. I have the entire cookware set and mixing bowls. For new stuff, the quality is excellent.

Further evidence that Corelle Coordinates (stoneware cookware with patterns from American-made Corelle tableware) and Corelle Hearthstone are attempts by World Kitchen to wean consumers off of American-made Vitrelle, the original Corelle material.
