The Steel Car Company made Presteline ranges. They were available with 3 surface unit arrangements in the 40" range: in a cluster on one side leaving a workspace on the other, a divided cooktop with two on each aide or the safety top with the four surface units in a line along the back of the cooktop.
Universal electric ranges were not the same as the gas Universal ranges made by C&S. Universal electric ranges were made by Landers, Frary & Clark.
