Hi all,

Things are so exciting here. The D-1000 is waiting patiently for it's new match! The shipper is picking up the L-1000 Saturday. I know on the earlier models you had to secure the drum before moving, but I also know the L-1000 was a hefty redesign of the slant front. From my understanding the drum does not have to be secured... Am I correct? Is there anything I should ask the seller or shipper to do before it hits the road? Thanks!

If its like my 1961,when the top is tilted back, there should be a flange welded to the top of the tub that lines up with bolt holes where you can put wire ties to stabolize the tub...Ill get pics when home from work
