AEG Electrolux 72950A-3 don´t dispense softener

Common Problem
With AEG/Lavamat washers especially those made by Electrolux.
The diverter valve that moves water from the two outer positions (wash and prewash sections) is not sending water to the center "fabric softener". It could be stuck, broken or whatever. Sadly the only remedy is to replace the entire unit.
