I made a tool to fit either side of the nut into the little grooves, fixed to a long bar and it spun off pretty easy. It needed a strip down because of all the bitsiI listed before... all the electrics were shot as the old rubber coving the wiring has perished, the spin can bearings need stripping and regreasing, the inside of the outer spin tub is rotten, the casing needs a respray and the spin drive has a crack in it. It'll be stripped and the parts sold to keep others going.
