I saw a young man the other day with an absolutely beautiful afro: It was perfect in its symetry, very well-maintained, not too stiff, not too droopy. Hadn't seen one like that since the 70's. I'd forgotten how cool they can be.

When my hair grows out it gets bushy and frizzy, but I look like a televangelist who has gone to seed ;-)

Isn't Afro Sheen a product of Johnson Cosmetics? They had a huge sign up on the Dan ryan Expressway in Chicago where the company was located. I read somewhere that the owner of the company was a huge philanthropist and gave away lot of money to worthy causes over the years.
