What an amazing machine!
The sonic waves, even when dry was amazing!
The "beat per minute" against the clothes is astounding!
It was all about the rhythm of the clothes against against the tub. It would "wave" the dirt out. The less water would make more of a concentrated "rub" or "sonic wave" so to speak!
So advance in my mind! I could be wrong in the process, but it is obvious in my mind.
I had no idea that this tub vibrated at this frequency!
It was about soaking the clothes and "beating" the dirt out. Beating not being a bad thing in this case. It was actually very gentle.
What is the spin speed?
Thanks for the videos Robert!
This is very abnormal from normal washing of it's day! But I love it!

Robert, I can't think of anyone who deserves a beauty like this more than you. Congratulations on your find. It seems to be in great working condition. I love the unusual wash action. Great videos!
It's like a Philco/Calypso!!! APEX made some of the coolest designs...anything but the norm! Congrats on this find. It is truely amazing. And works perfectly and everything!!!
Robert, I can't Beleive it!!! I wish I was there with you to watch this with you, but then I'd have a super bad low blood sugar reaction, you'd have to call paramedics, then I'd come to and have to get NAKED with them, watch that washer and then pass again...OMG I could just DIE!!! The appliance Goddesses LOVE you TOO much.....Bill in Az......
Can you post some of the Patent numbers here? I'd like to look them up. I can't quite get that action from the video, I can't quite tell if its bouncing or nutating or both.
But SHAZAMM I have never seen a top loader turn over the clothes DRY!
And She just RIPS them off the walls after spin ZHEEEZUS!
Your story about finding this machine is almost unbelievable. Al those years you lived practically next to it! You must have been so excited by this discovery. Congratulations!
Those engineers were way ahead of time: I see that there is a decent turnover even without any water. Now that's the most water-saving top loader I've ever seen! LOL
No joke aside this could be the "New wave" of T/L washing, no wobble plate to trap clothes etc. Robert is the patent on this apex design expired? Having seen it work i now understand why CU stated it would not spin with inadequate water pressure. Is there a "balloon" type thing that water pressure fills to kick in the spin? when you get time someday i would love to see the mechanism. alr2903
