JEALOUS!

Beautiful Set!!!I love it! It couldn't have fallen into better hands...When are you going to start playing with them? Can't wait to see them in action!!! Love Surgilators!

Okay - that is a sweet set. Congrats! One thing I wonder is if this set was available in any color other than avocado. Certainly the color makes the statement, but white would also be nice.

Love the blue Surgilator w/ chrome cap. Cat's meow!

Didn't Jamie have a sister to this washer a year or two ago?

I love this set, they look to be in excellent condition and very well cared for.
Are you sure those left the factory with that wood on it? It looks to me for some reason like someone added that later. Going against popular opinion, I think the wood looks tacky. I think the set would look much better without it.

WOW....

those look factory fresh!!

Since earth tone colors and shag carpeting have come back, give it a little time and wood paneling will be back in full swing.

Thank you to all of you for your kind comments!

It's a VERY COOL set and I am very lucky to now be their caretaker. It's wonderful to finally have them here and see them in person!
On the wood paneling, I must admit I thought it was pretty tacky thing to do, but it is slowly growing on me! Also, that was the late 60's/early 70's!

> DADoES: Thank you for the info about the dryers "speed control", I'll have to check it once I'm able to get the dryer connected. Though I find it odd they would decrease the airflow like that, but if that's the way it is... then that's the way it is!

> Jim - Spankomatic, regarding your questions: #1. Click the link below, it will tell you all about it.
And #2 "Who is the handsome unmarried man holding up the lint filter cover on the dryer"? Why that would be me, silly! Wow, it's amazing! You can tell all this about a person just by seeing their hand! LOL

> Joe - Drewz. Estate wagon, huh? Yeah, I thought the exact thing! LOL

> PeterH770: Will the machine let you use high agitate/high spin on the Gentle cycle? i will check on it and let you know!

And calling Pulsator! Oh Jamie.... where ARE you??? Do you still have this washer??

Of course I still have that washer!!!

However, I'm not entirely sure how long I'll keep it. I do love it's styling, but I would much rather have one of the later BD Whirlpools with the large capacity and winged Surgilator that I grew up with! However, the blue agitator is just STUNNING!! I'm not sure I could give up the machine AND that agitator! I might have to slip a white one in instead! lol

Congratulations on that gorgeous set Kevin. They are truly beautiful. My aunt had a Coppertone 68 model which I believe may have been the Imperial 80. The only differences between her washer and this one are that hers had the speckled tub, and only one set of push button controls to regulate water temperature. I love those arched console lights. With the lid up you should see some illumination between the tub ring and top, especially in a dark room.

Have a good one,
James

Beautiful set Kevin! So unusual with the woodgrain panels, and the duel way dryer door! Great catch.
