Has anyone seen this new so-called design....kinda fun to watch, wonder how it handles bigger loads, not to mention water usage, maybe a good thing?

NEW AGITATION DESIGN ?
Nothing very new about this its very similar the SQ contempomate ,GEs Hitachi built compact washers several Hairer washers etc.etc. Its basically a cheap mechanism to build not as water efficient as many other washers.

I like how the tub lights up at the bottom lol.
The bottom drum light is pretty neat-but the agitation reminds me of an old style Vita-Mix-forward-reverse-forward-reverse-Heck you could use this washer to make your smoothie or milkshake when not doing wash-like Dennis the Menace did on one of his episodes.The washer that can double as a blender?Kinda combines the characteristics of agitator washers and impeller washers.

Kinda looks like a bastemp machine. nice tub light. That agitation is not new. I think the Philco contor flow machines had somthing like this. Or maybe it's that other version that I'm thinking of. There is at least one member that has one. For those of you that know what machine that I am talking about, Please chime in...
Philco washers (Blades of Water, Automagic, etc.) were not like this at all. Completely different mechanism and action.

That's one of the most ridiculous machines ever launched here.
1) Dako was an excellent local brand, very favous by the stoves which had the best ovens in Brazil (they were even better than Brastemp, Electrolux, COntinental, etc and much cheaper)
The TOL famous brand oven would never be better than a BOL Dako oven.
Suddently GE (read the mexican Mabe) bought Dako and screwed all the products. they launched refrigerators, and washing machines.
This machine with the agiturbi (mix of agitator and "turbine") is a disaster.
it will shred a small load and will do nothing to a big load.
It's so ridiculous that if you put a big load (big, not exagerated) the dispenser will release the detergent on the clothes but it won't dissolve.
The spin speed is also ridiculous... while all the manufacturers try to beat the maximum speed GE/Mabe offer ridiculous spin speed always much lower than 700 rpm, usually 620 or 640 rpm.
By the price o that s**t, one can buy an Electrolux wich has more capacity, a new an improved agitator, or a Consul (the cheap Whirlpool) which has also better spin speeds, better cleaning ratings, higher spin speeds.

LOL Thomas the sad thing is majority of american washers spin at that rate here in U.S. that is ridiculous number as i'm sure you know - 640 - RPM !
G.E. is the same mostly except there new HE series top loaders 700 rpm i have to say that i like the hydrowave wash action and like to see new agitation engineering in washing technology and i no it is debatable... I always want to see what is next...That Dako is interesting like some of the guy's say's here the lighting, the spinning spineretts at the bottom the wash tub is fun to watch, to bad it does not do a good job.
DADoES & Melvin - that Philco is one of my dream machines love, love the flapper style agitator ...My mom in the 70's use to drop me and my brother off to Mrs pearl house when she had to baby set us sometime, and that was my first encounter with a philco appliance she had it in here kitchen and she pulled up a chair so i could watch it i thought it was so amazing that it did not turn... all i saw was the clothes go up and down to the bottom very smoothly she would say honey make sure you clothes the top when it spins yaa hear me, she would do major loads.
And when it did spin you i would left the lid the peek- a -boo thing that i think we all have done here and you would see the flapper splash water all over the clothes while spinning the water out talking about wash water drama fantastic machine i want one now lol. Thanks for that pic, there is a nice lighted one here too from a former member.

I didn't mean to compare with the american machines...
the problem is that Dako and GE machines are as expensive as TOL models, but the max spin speed is the same as the BOL plastic crap from their competitors.
even the MOL machines from other manufacturers offer 750+ max spin speed. some have 800 or a little bit faster.
If we compare to the american machines it will be like Haier selling one of those plastic top loaders costing the same as a TOL Miele front loader. Isn't it ridiculous?
