Pardon the silly question but is this the same Kenwood that makes Stereos and two-way radios in the US?

Not the same company. Kenwood stereo/electronics was a Japanese company, marketed as Trio I believe in the UK no doubt because Kenwood mixers already had the Kenwood name in use.

I guess it's a function of how my mind works, but when I saw "British mixers" in the title of this thread, the first things I thought of was Allen & Heath... oops, this is Automaticwasher.org, not Gearslutz... oy.

Why the need to make cream?

Why would one have the need of a cream making attachment? Isn't light cream, whipping cream and heavy whipping cream available?
