The dryer & washer begin at 21:50. Wondering if the dryer is older than the washer.

Watch the whole video if you wanna see the whole house.

Well seemingly that house is allowed to sit like that with those few furnishings, two appliances and all that carpet, tile, wood and laminate flooring, uninhabited and not that far beyond delaipidated...

So why doesn't someone save it?

The house built in the early 1970s into which my family moved in the early 1980s and where mom still lives has

1) a couple switchplates very similar if not identical to those seen at 1:05

2) Moen kitchen sink faucet with the same spout and slightly different handle at 6:55*

3) Moen bathroom sink faucets at 16:06

... except updating is currently being done by the sister and SIL in preparation for moving in with mom.

*The contractors dropped the over-sink cabinetry when removing it for updating and bent both the handle and spout, which isn't of much consequence being that it's planned for replacement.

I tried watching.....

.....this guy's YouTube channel two or three times but his lack of knowledge about "old" things and limited vocabulary turned me off.

I saw this video come up on my "you may want to watch" list but skipped it for that reason.
It would be nice just to get a walk through of places without running commentary and "reactions".

1970s house to be demolished

It’s too bad there’s nothing cool about this house, lol

It would be torture to watch that video. If you had to listen to The guy talk with the amount of water damage, I can see why they’re tearing it down. There’s not much to recommend saving there.

I’m sure the signs that say to lock all four doors were for real estate agents that showed the house to remind people to lock the doors when they left.

You can tell the house is in Canada because even a middle of the road house like this has a central vacuum. The Canadians are much smarter than most people because they heavily embraced the advantages of a central vacuum for keeping their homes clean and dust free with no odor.

Central Vacs

These were very popular in new homes in the Cincinnati area back in the 70's and 80's. A major reason for this was that NuTone, a top manufacturer of such units, was located here. Nearly every house at the annual Homearama model home show featured them. Now I hardly ever see them. NuTone was bought out by Broan quite a few years ago, and left Cincinnati.

"lack of knowledge"

Indeed, not knowing the difference between a switch and a switchplate will cause me to end the video right there and then and to never to return to that channel.

OH gosh lol. We had those exact same yellow curtains in the livingroom of the house I grew up in.
I wasn't a fan of them then, nor watching this. Ha.
