Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Hello everyone, I thought this might be fun.

I absolutely love the old square door frontloaders. Unfortunately, they are pretty rare now. There are of course many makes with square doors, Creda, Hoover, Servis, Bendix etc.. Do you know anymore and have any pics?

Here are some of mine. The first is a Creda brochure sent to me by someone on here. I hope they don't mind me sharing with you (can't remember their username to check). The Creda machine had a 25 min profile spin. Any other pics or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Great Pics....

As always Rob, you come up with some great photos! I love the square-door machines as well. With modern washers, the round look seems to be in. In the future, I would expect that some creative R&D person will present the board with a "new" square door design. I, personally, love the idea of a square door (with window of course) washer and dryer set.

In the first Creda pic, would that cylindrical machine be a spin dryer? Gotta laugh at the "Mean Machine" above too!

Bendix Square Door W/D

What a fab ad Greg!! The descriptions; "Water-Rationer saves gallons of hot water, three fresh warm water rinses, clothes are dried as on a warm, breezy day, and sparkling, almost human pair"; not to mention that this is a beautiful set.

What lady of the house wouldn't want that couple residing in the laundry room!

Had to chuckle at the description of the "counter-high porcelain work surface". It's just the place to put the Westinghouse Roaster for those big Sunday dinners.

Hey Kenny (Goatfarmer): Have you ever come across any of these in Indiana?
