That looks like the washer my neighbor V. got back in the early 70's. It and the matching dryer were Avocado. She's had two other Kenmore sets since.

An oxalic acid solution in a spray bottle will do wonders on that iron. It's what's under the wash basket that is most concerning. But it does look salvageable for a 50 year old washer.
