That the Dyson washing machines went bust becaus of the 2 way drum action? Do you know more about them and the fact about them going bust because to me that was a real shame as I have always liked those.

The first pic is the machine and the second is a advert wich came through our door.

I think I will stick to a conventional FL.

Anyone has experience with this FL?

dyson washers had a nack for tagling clothes, so most owners that were not satisfied had the drums locked to wash like a normal machine.
another big put off for dyson washers was the fact that they were in phsycadelic colours which also was a big turn off to the consumer.
shame that

There was someone posting here who had one or had used one, but then I think it broke. I can't imagine what kind of tangling resulted where the two halves of the drum met and were going in opposite directions. Maybe that poster will see your information request.

2 Drums?

It wasnt just the 2 way drum action which caused Dyson to stop making them, but also all of the other parts which would seem to wear out in a fairly short space of time in these machines.

I'm always a fan of new technology but this really didnt seem to cut it. Personally I'd rather do two loads in a smaller capacity machine than one huge one in a machine like this.

It is a shame that they didnt last as long as they claimed to however, I've always found them interesting but even these days a quick search on Ebay just reveals one after the other " Dyson for spares or repairs", also alot of their parts seem to crack and go brittle very easily, which I always found dissapointing because Dyson had always advertised the strength of the materials used like the double door, it just obviously want the case :-(

Hope this helps

Awful.

Well, on the first sight, the one thing that would never make me buy this thing is DESIGN.. It looks horrible, specially with that idiotic combination of yellow and purple, plus as far as I could see, Detergent draw is transparent - Horrible.

And on YouTube there are like 100 videos called ''dyson machine going crazy'' or so what.. deffinatley dislike it.

i actually think the Dyson washing machine was a good idea it brought innovation into washing at new level and personally i think Dyson should carry on making washing machines with those large capacity drum just with out the two drum action, i have actually used one of these machine yes it does tend to tangle clothes but the wash performance was indeed higher than the standard rotation drum

It seems there is a lot of twisting action on the clothing. One end of the clothing is rotating in one direction and the opposite end in the reverse direction.

Hi guys, I have two dyson CR01's both second hand and both have been locked. One is in storage and the other is one of my daily drivers. I have to say their'er not the prettiest boys in the play ground but I really can't fault them. built like a tank, takes a huge load, is flexiable, is quick, gives great results and rinses really well and doesn't fanny around trying to balance. The only thing I would change is the fact it doesn't do a heated prewash. I use prewash afew times a week for all my cleaning clothes, office tea towels amd my partners filthy chief whites but it's not the end of the world. Below are afew pic's
