I saw a few older posts on radaranges - anyone as crazy about them as me???? I got my first one new as a christmas present in 1981 - it was a real workhorse for over 20 years - I have collected 4 others since then and use them all - for me they are iconic design and are so well made - any other groupies?

The RadarRange has a huge following. I know there are members here who have them and love them. Over the years there have been various threads about them. Love all that gleaming chrome on yours!

thanks!

I found that one in Denver on Craigslist a few years ago - didn't want to ship it since it was perfect - I have shipped two others, but didn't want to risk this one getting damaged - it's being stored in a family member's home and we will drive to denver in August to pick her up! Here are my others and you can also get a peek at one of my Cuisinart Air Surge Ovens at the bottom (another sick passion)

Very nice, pcasa.

Something tells me you're going to fit right in here.

I like them too!

I have a RR-2, a RR-4D, a RR-10 and two RCM-10 which were made by Amana for Frigidaire.

Another fan

As a result of cadman(Cory), whose web site (below) got me excited about buying one of these for our apartment kitchen. Now I have four, and there's no room but to stuff them in the closet. I have another spare, but the panel, upper cover to distribute the microwaves....has been swapped or removed for repairs. It's good to have some extras for parts! :-)

Pcasa, that's the response I get when I say, "I collect microwaves". I get the "you do what? collect what?"

The world is crazy - we're normal. Ha.

Shiny like a studebaker

I only collect the ones with the chrome doors - and a few people on Craigslist have refused to sell to me when I describe how they will need to take it to their local UPS shipping center ... They either think it's some kinda hoax or that I'm nuts! However - two Midwestern sellers and one in CA totally got me and shipped with no problem ... Getting harder to find though
