it looks like Rolling Green Park was right on the river! I would have loved to have seen that park. A housing development now? Ugh. The inevitable. I have so much respect for Knoebels and the longevity of that park.
Jason, what is the zipper you mentioned? I have a ride in mind that comes to our county fair most years, it is called the zipper, but it could be a completely different ride.
By the way, thanks, Vers, for googling that to share. I was just down in Selinsgrove today!
 
Oh, well

I grew up in the Selinsgrove area. Rolling Green was not on the river, but it had a big lake and you could take paddle boats out on it or ride their steam boat. Rolling Green opened in 1908. Too bad Mr. Bogar, a land developer and lumber company owner was able to buy the park and then demolish it. The place was every bit as cool as Knoebel's. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the other rides at Knoebel's were purchased when Rolling Green shut down.
