It's gotta go, too....
I managed to get the washer running but there are issues with either the motor or perhaps the transmission... The motor ran, but got very hot very quickly and popped the breaker on the circuit used for testing, so I think trouble with one of these may be the reason why this got sent to the back of Therese Roy's barn!
Unfortunately, I REALLY have to get this washer out of the garage pronto so I have started stripping it of parts which may still be useful (timer, water level switch, and I have saved the lid scrubbing board) and which anyone is welcome to.
Is anyone interested in the wash tub and the 'inner' agitator? The tub is in great shape - I believe a machine of this era would be an 18 pound capacity. If anyone is interested, please let me know how to get the blasted thing out... the 'inner' agitator won't budge when pulled and if it is to be saved, I don't want to break it.
Otherwise, I will have to scrap it on the weekend...
