It's 19 degrees here in Hickory NC. Unusually cold for us. I'm fortunate to have my basement heated (where the washers are) along with the rest of the house.
The Filtrator really warmed the basement nicely and made the whole house smell a way that only an appliance lover would understand. I decided to share a few night shots of the Filtrator.

If you put a rug on the floor in front of it, you won't lose heat into the cold floor or have to deal with a patch of condensation. That Filtrator perfume of hot cotton and ozone is unbeatable. Congratulations on your Filtrator. Use it and enjoy it in good health for many years.

Joe, I know just what you are talking about. After being at Gregs last week I know what a wonderful smeel that is and the nice cozy feeling it gives the basement.

Neat machine

Nice night shots of the Filtrator...... btw, come west to the other side of the mountain and you would find 10 degF colder this morning..... 5 degF at the house in east Knox County with snow on the ground. Nice to have the cold/snowy winter
back again - seems they've been away too long down here.... if you like winter that is...lol!

Correction on temp math.......

Actually that should have been 15 degF colder here this morning..... too early for my, older each day, brain to do the math.

Another reason I hope to get a Filtrator one day. Actually I vent my dryer indoors in the winter to retain the heat and humidity, but even with those indoor vent filters, the lint is a pain.

With this COLD weather and cold water coming from the pipes, I've noticed how efficient my Duomatic is at drying a load. The dried clothes just feel different.

You've got a great set-up, Joe. I'm glad it's working out for you.

I also had my Filtrator drying a load of towels yesterday.
I grew up with a DCI-61 (clamshell) Filtrator.
Monday's were washday in our house. The smell of vintage laundry detergent, bleach and a Filtrator drying the clothes filled the air. That was and still is a precious smell to me.
Bringning back fond memories of my mother when she was alive.
I finally snagged a '57 Unimatic set and have been enjoying the nostalgic smell of a Filtrator ever since.
